Throughout my career, I have consistently chosen paths that align with my core values: customer-centricity, honesty, and integrity. My commitment to these principles has guided me in becoming either a self-employed business owner or a dedicated representative of companies that share these ethical and professional standards.

 

In the face of the 2007 "Great Recession", I joined Aflac as an agent. During this challenging period, I demonstrated resilience and adaptability by opening new accounts, revitalizing existing ones, and successfully launching the Aflac Group product across multiple states. My responsibilities expanded to include recruiting and managing Aflac agents, enhancing our service offerings with Group Health Insurance, financial products like life insurance and annuities, and Medicare Health Plans to support retirees.

 

Before my tenure at Aflac, I served as the president and principal of JR & Associates from 1992 to 2006. Our company specialized in brokering high-value transactions of financial equipment for major U.S. banks and institutions, such as Bank of America and Wells Fargo. We excelled in connecting buyers and sellers of specialized banking equipment, securing profitable deals and fostering long-term business relationships.

 

My early career experiences laid the groundwork for my expertise in sales and account management. At 24, I spearheaded the launch of a new automotive product, which was eventually licensed to Nickson Industries, generating ongoing royalties. This venture underscored my knack for innovation and market entry strategies.

 

Concurrently, while pursuing my studies in Finance and Economics at the University of Massachusetts Business School, I led a direct sales organization, specializing in educational book sales. This experience not only honed my sales acumen but also my leadership and motivational skills.

 

Since joining Aflac, I have dedicated myself to becoming an invaluable resource in the employee benefits sector. My expertise now encompasses Group Health Insurance, Medicare and Social Security Planning, and a range of financial products, backed by rigorous training and certification from esteemed organizations like the Center for Medicare Services, AHIP, and the NAIC. My focus is always on delivering value to my clients, ensuring the welfare of employees, and thereby contributing to the overall success of businesses.
